Connect your Square account from Settings on iPhone or iPad, using Square's own secure sign-in. Once you're connected, you pick the Square location the hours post to, so every timecard lands in the right place.

Map each Punch person to their Square team member once. Punch even auto-matches names to get you most of the way there, so a few taps finishes the roster.

When you close a pay period, Punch sends each approved shift to Square as a timecard: the right team member, the worked hours, the date, and the location you picked. Each recorded lunch posts as a break, so Square pays the worked time. Square Payroll then runs the pay on accurate hours. Punch handles time; Square handles the pay.

It's built to be safe to run twice. Punch remembers which shifts it already sent, so re-exporting a period never creates duplicate timecards. Every export is logged so you can see exactly what went over and when, and if a person isn't mapped yet, Punch tells you which one instead of failing quietly.

Which Square does Punch work with?
Punch connects to your Square account and sends approved hours as timecards, posted to a Square location you pick. Square Payroll then runs the pay on those hours.
What exactly gets sent to Square?
Each approved shift goes over as a timecard: the mapped team member, the worked hours, the date, and the location you chose. Recorded lunches post as breaks. Punch sends hours, and Square runs the pay math on them, so the two systems stay in their lanes.
Will exporting twice create duplicate timecards?
No. Punch remembers which shifts it has already sent to Square, so re-exporting a pay period only sends what's new. Re-running an export is always safe.
Can I choose which Square location the hours go to?
